In 2018, we saw a need when Susan Martin, a piano instructor at the time, could not get a piano tuner to respond to her calls or tune her piano. Robert said, "I bet I could figure that out!" He went to work on a free piano found on craigslist, armed with YouTube videos, a small toolkit and a friend who was willing to train him. In a short period of time, he discovered he had an ear and talent for piano tuning. With a blend of self-taught gumption and a few mentors and online courses, he launched Martin Pianos. Susan helped launch the administrative, marketing and scheduling systems. We have been serving and improving our quality of service since officially launching Martin Pianos in early 2019.
